about Louise

 

Louise Holloway is an international entrepreneur, creative director, and professor
specialising in communication strategy and design. She is the co-founder and director
of the Energy Endeavour Foundation, governing body of the global Solar Decathlon Europe
competition in resource-responsible habitation.

 

Born in Canada, Louise received her BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design University. 
With an endowment grant from the National Centre for Plastic Arts in Paris, she earned
her Master's degree from the Atelier National de Recherche Typographique. After years in the film,
advertising and publishing industries, Louise launched her Paris-based communication consultancy,
advising public organisations, institutions, and consumer brands such as the OECD, 
the Public Works Administration of Luxembourg, Baccarat, Remy Cointreau, PepsiCo Europe
and the Solar Decathlon Europe. She is a leader in branding and messaging, directing multi-disciplinary 
projects in cross-cultural arenas; Louise steers project engineers, account managers,
creative marketing services, and scientific teams.

 

An inspiring, award-winning educator and leader, Louise builds bridges between client projects 
and academic initiatives. Currently, the emphasis is on messaging for architects and the smart citizen
in the urban landscape. She has taught and lectured at universities in many countries, notably in Canada,
Europe, and Asia, including a decade at Parsons School of Design. Louise leads Master's and executive seminars,
including professorships with the American Universities of Paris and Armenia, RWTH Aachen University,
and the Paris-based Ecole de Communication Visuelle. She is a regular thesis advisor and adjudicator
for international design competitions. Louise Is currently an adjunct professor at Tsinghua University's
Shenzhen International Graduate School and its Institute for Future Human Habitats.

 

Committed to youth-driven initiatives in resource optimisation, Louise works with dedication
to expand awareness activities beyond habitation in the built environment to include entrepreneurship
and human capital. Louise integrates creative methodologies into her client projects, studios and labs,
weaving words and pictures to produce effective, long-lasting communication solutions.
